Hey! I'm Fayçal, a backend-focused engineer with 3+ years building financial integrations, payment middleware, and scalable APIs. I ship production systems in Python and React.

Real-Time AI Drone Perception System

End-to-end autonomous drone perception platform. Custom YOLOv11 + TensorRT FP16 on NVIDIA Jetson Orin streams detections live to a React/TypeScript operator dashboard. Modular ROS2 pipeline with centroid-based multi-object tracking, persistent IDs, and GPS/IMU telemetry visualisation.

  • →Lead engineer on Mon Trajet Vert, a multimodal journey planner covering 7 French cities (Strasbourg, Paris, Lyon, Nantes, Toulouse, Bordeaux, La Rochelle)
  • →Designed a FastAPI backend on GCP Cloud Run implementing the RAPTOR algorithm for multimodal routing: tram, metro, bus, rail, GBFS bike-share, personal cycling with bike-parking lookup, and PMR accessibility
  • →Built an OSM pedestrian graph for walking transfers and integrated Firestore via a GraphQL API
  • →Optimized GTFS ingestion (20M+ rows, multiple simultaneous providers): cut initialization time from 49 hours to under 10 minutes, and RAPTOR query latency from 1 minute to under 6 seconds on large cities

  • →Designed end-to-end the TuniChèque payment middleware in Python/FastAPI: REST API on the national centralised cheque platform (PECC) side, SOAP/OFS messages to Temenos T24 R11 on the core banking side, OTP handling, and two-level logging (global daily tracking + per-operation traceability); delivered in-house, avoiding the cost of an external provider
  • →Overhauled two critical banking applications (SWIFT operations: MT103, MT202, MT202COV, MT950; approval workflows for clearing, cheque reservation and credit): replaced raw SQL and inline SOAP calls in views with reusable services, shared templates and exception handling, significantly reducing production incidents
  • →Built BTL-Synthèse: a modular application to digitize and validate client balance sheets and income statements, with automatic asset/liability checks, financial ratio computation, and full input traceability to limit fraud risk
